183 cataract surgeries were performed. Several hundred eyeglasses – mainly reading glasses – and eye drops were distributed.  A  local eye nurse was trained in a better, cheaper and faster technique for cataract surgery. Two local eye nurses were trained in medical ophthalmology and in the use of diagnostic equipment. Diagnostic and surgical instruments, an autoclave and eye drops were donated to the local ophthalmology department. 2800$ was donated to the local hospital.
