September, 24th was another opportunity granted the NCEH team to perform about 49 Sight restoring cataract surgeries in Yeji hosted by Mathias catholic hospital. With Dr Kanika, a visiting Ophthalmologist from the USA joining the team.
Due to our help this blind boy who couldn't walk alone can now walk without the help of any aid. But he still won't be able to read as he had deep amblyopia (Lazy eyes). Had it that the surgery was done earlier, his vision could have been better. Unfortunately for him, his dad is also blind n his old brother also has cataract.
