Tamale Eye Hospital had the privilege of hosting two distinguished visiting specialists: Dr. K. V. Ravishankar from Usha Kiran Eye Hospital, Mysore, India, and Dr. Luxme Hariharan, a pediatric eye specialist from New Jersey, USA.

During their one-week visit, we worked together to perform 36 pediatric eye surgeries under general anesthesia. The majority of these procedures addressed conditions such as cataract, squint, and glaucoma, which can severely impact a child’s vision and quality of life if left untreated.

We are deeply grateful for their expertise, dedication, and support, which have brought hope and restored sight to many children and their families.
